Our Story
Mecs Publishing was founded in 2017 by Disabled Award-Winning Author, Edna Cane Swannepoel, with one mission — to give every writer the opportunity to see their words in print. Born from a passion for storytelling and a belief in the power of books to inspire and connect, Mecs Publishing has grown into a trusted name in the South African publishing industry.
As an accomplished creative herself, Edna has written 10 books, co-authored three, worked as a professional ghostwriter, and is also a songwriter with her own CD release. This diverse creative background gives her unique insight into the world of storytelling in all its forms, allowing her to guide authors with both expertise and empathy. We specialise in helping authors every step of the way — from professional editing and layout design to printing, distribution, and marketing. Our team has proudly published over 500 titles, across genres from heartfelt memoirs and gripping fiction to children’s books and academic works.
