About the Author — English:
The author, Amon Mdala Rikhotso, was born in 1964 in Tzaneen. He is the son of Nyathlela Rikhotso and Dambuza Wilson Rikhotso. He completed his secondary education in 1983 and began his teaching career in 1984. He served as a dedicated educator until 1987 and later became Head of the Department for Languages (HOD) in 1994, a position he held until 2009. Afterward, he taught in Further Education and Training (FET) institutions under the Mopani West District. Rikhotso is a proud advocate for the Xitsonga language and culture. His life’s work reflects a passion for preserving heritage, teaching wisdom, and inspiring others to love and protect their identity. Through his writing and teaching, he continues to unify people and promote cultural pride across generations.
