About the Author — English:

The author, Amon Mdala Rikhotso, was born in 1964 in Tzaneen. He is the son of Nyathlela Rikhotso and Dambuza Wilson Rikhotso. He completed his secondary education in 1983 and began his teaching career in 1984, serving at various educational institutions until 1987. In 1994, he became Head of the Department for Languages (HOD) and continued until 2009. Later, he taught in Further Education and Training (FET) schools under the Mopani West District. Rikhotso is deeply passionate about Xitsonga culture and language preservation. Through his writing, he continues to educate and inspire others to value their cultural roots and heritage. His life’s work reflects a commitment to education, wisdom, and the empowerment of future generations.
